Apparently the word 'Hoser' is completely different than 'Hoosier'.
Hoosier is a person from Indiana- specifically St. Louis. But I thought that's how you spell hoser. So all my life I have been looking up the wrong word, not knowing why the canadian insult would be calling people 'people from St Louis' as an insult.

so anyways, according to wikipedia, "He's often imagined wearing heavy winter clothing, usually a flannel lumberjack shirt, Kodiak boots and a tuque. So in that- I decided to click the link to the tragically hip. There is some sort of nostalgic rock sound, with long guitar strums that have too much distortion, a lead singer that sound like a mix of the guy from counting crows and james taylor that makes me think of road trips to arizona, and therefore car sickness.
The other thing that makes me car sick is the trumpet at the beginning of the NPR news reports.

The best museum in the the country that I've been to is in Saint Louis. The Saint Louis City Museum. It's more like a 4 story playground that takes up a whole city block. Inside, most of the permanent collection on display are all the real non fine art duplicates they could gather (ie all the transformers and gi joes i played with in the 80's) plus arcade games in a fun house with 4 story slides if you dont want to take an elevator. Outside is a bar and a jungle gym that you can climb above the rooftops open til 2 AM. Hoosiers are allright. I'm a hoser though. Niner Niner Niner...
