but I am really trying to quit so that I can have the lung capacity to play the trumpet.  

this is my logic:

I spend $10 a month on loose tobacco

in 8 months, I can afford a trumpet on e-bay (including shipping).  

and by that time... my lung capacity would have increased dramatically and I will be ready to start my own cover band
